Where do you work, Nilson?
J&I Duct Fab in Covington, Ohio for 14 years.
Tell us a little more about your work?
I am proud of the work that I do because it is an essential job in my community. And it’s also fascinating to see the process of flat metal becoming useful products for our customers.
What do you want people to know about you?
If I had a billboard it would say: You can count on me!
What's the best advice you've ever received?
It’s important to pay attention, and always be willing to learn from the people around you.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Go back in time to correct mistakes.
If you could recommend a book, resource, or podcast, what would it be?
There’s a YouTube video called “Who are we?”.
Tell us about your family.
My daughter Isabel gives me a lot of support. I actively keep in touch with my family in Brazil.
Where do you attend Coffee with Champions?
At my work J&I Duct Fab
What are some words you would use to describe the Champions program?
This program provides a good opportunity for us coworkers to get to know each other. It gives us space to talk about life outside of work which helps build trust between us.
What has been your most MEMORABLE workshop at CwC?
A memorable workshop topic was how to prioritize and improve coworker communication and strengthen our work relationship.
Is there anything you wish to add?
This company is on the trajectory of growth and a lot of that is because of its people.
