I nominated Mark for this award because, from the first day I met him, I could tell he embodied what Coffee with Champions stood for.
Since then, he has gone out of his way to show genuine generosity and concern for our mission of Being a Force for Good. Mark was instrumental in our expansion into the Greater Springfield Partnership and then went on to become the lead host there.
I recently got a chance to ask Mark a few questions about Coffee with Champions, his career, and the one thing he wants people to know about him.
Where do you attend Coffee with Champions?
The Greater Springfield Partnership.
What does the program mean to you?
To continue to learn and grow personally with a great diversity of people and to possibly help them thru my life experiences.
How long have you been involved with Champions?
Since starting at the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce Champions group in September 2023.
Where do you work?
Garber Electrical Contractors (Englewood, OH). I am in sales.
What has your career been?
I have been in the electrical industry for 44 years. I have been with Garber Electric for 15 years.
Tell us a little more about your work.
I do not consider my job as work; as I consider it a joy as I build relationships with others through my job. I have a passion for what I do and am blessed by being employed by a great Christian-based company that allows me to work with others. To help them build a better product and to meet their goals while maintaining their budget”
What's the one thing you want people to know about you? Or, if you could have a billboard with a phrase on it, what would it say?
I am a Follower of Jesus and hope I reflect Him in all I say and do.
If I cannot control it, I do not worry about it. Jesus is in control anyway
What’s the preferred way to get a hold of you?

Thank you Mark, for all you’ve done for us, your work, your community, and your family.
You truly are a Force for Good!
