Don't wish for easier, wish you were better?
"Character isn’t formed out of smart people, it’s formed out of people who have suffered.” - Jensen Huang
It’s easy to complain.
To wish so-and-so was nicer to you. Or your job was easier. Or making money was easier. Or you didn’t have to go through the pain and aggravation.
Pain and suffering builds character
“Resilience matters in success. I don’t know how to teach it to you except that I hope suffering happens to you…I use the word “pain and suffering” inside our company with great glee…because you want to refine the character of your company (team).
You want greatness out of them. Greatness is not intelligence. Greatness comes from character. And character isn’t formed out of smart people, it’s formed out of people who have suffered.”
(From Jensen Huang, founder/CEO of Nvidia, 3rd largest company in the world by market value, 30,000 employees)
Wish you were better, with more skills, and more wisdom
“Don't wish it was easier - wish you were better.
Don't wish for less problems - wish for more skills.
Don't wish for less challenge - wish for more wisdom.”
From Jim Rohn, Entreprenuer, author, and motivational speaker, 1930-2009
Be a force for good.
